Random worlds often feel more realistic than Navezgane. What Navezgane gives you is a familiar place that doesn't change other than what the updates change. It's great for youtubers that want to show off a specific POI without having to try to find it on a random map. You can also see how updates change things in that static environment.

Posted June 11, 2017. Ok, finally got to running around Navezgane (or at least the NE corner). It seems pretty clear that TFP started with the old map and made changes from there. So, the old maps are "generally" helpful. Though, I do recall one of the guys mentioning that there was a fourth city now, somewhere in the desert (southeast).

When you make a map in nitrogen, you get a preview file with a pic of what the map looks like. That way you can make sure it came out the way you wanted. It takes somewhere between five and ten minutes to create a map that's much bigger than Navezgane. Personally, Navezgane gets boring fast because you learn where everything is, and it loses that element of surprise. The world generation tools are not yet updated for a20 and are not advised to be used.

PS4, NAVEZGANE MAP QUESTIONS. I've seen this posted before but all of the links for the supposed map do not match what I've seen thus far in the ps4 map. Granted some places are close together as shown on the latest Pc map but its almost as if they turned it sideways and moved some things around. Anyone else notice this?

They are definitely bigger but the problem is randomly generated POIs don't really exist. You'll run into roads that lead into big rocks or a cactus. Unlike Navezgane where you'll see the random house off the road in the middle of nowhere, those don't exist on random maps.
