I wouldn't be surprised if 17 WSM becomes an obsolete cartridge in a few years. I adopted .17hmr due to the wider availability of ammo and more firearms being chambered in it, even though the 17 WSM is a spicier round. To be honest, I wish it had worked out the other way and 17 WSM was more popular.
