It's possible but a little tricky. You need to buy a telephone mic (formerly available at Radio Shack) at an electronics store. One side has a suction cup that sticks on your handset. The other side is a 1/4" mono plug that would go into a (portable or other) tape recorder. That is the old school way but there might be easier ways these days.
