I was running the Scavenger's Den lost sector on Legend difficulty for the exotic boots and I noticed that even after killing all the champions (all 5 of them), I wasn't given the platinum rewards. Exotics are rare in legend lost sectors and without platinum rewards, its nearly impossible to get the exotic. Yet nothing is showing up on my map, nor can i find a banner outside of what's supposedly marked as the daily Legend. Worth asking, but am i required to have purchased Beyond Light to access these?
