Honestly, I'd like to hear a podcast done by the current/next SMA and /or the PAO giving monthly updates on said statues above. Further transparency in these matters will only improve. the SMA, like all Sergeants Major in command positions, are advisors to their respective commander -- and the best ones, like SMA Grinston, use their experience and expertise to advise ALL commanders. but he wouldn't tolerate a GO subordinating him or herself anymore than a GO would tolerate an SMA expecting the same.
