It has the wiring diagrams for the following: Wheel Horse. Wheel Horse Electrical. Won't crank. The last time my wife used the Wheel Horse 310-8 (Kohler) is worked perfectly. No starting issues at all. The next time she used it (about a week later) it would not crank. Absolutely nothing would happen. I cleaned all of the battery connections and they were fine.

The diode is in the wire from the stator. There are two wires one to the lights one to charge. They travel in a plastic sleeve from the engine to a connector. The diode is back inside that sleeve (see pic) You should have 14.5 or more volts when running. Solenoid has nothing to do with this issue.
