The stock float settings go with stock fuel pressure which was somewhere around 5 psig (don't remember exactly but that is close). Many of the pumps today have springs that meter to way more than that like up to around 12 to 14 psig.

Every time I make a right turn, the carb gets flooded with gas and dies. I need the float toe height for primary and secondary floats.
