Heavy profile barrels tend to have better harmonics/repeatable accuracy. But I've also seen 16" SR15s do almost as well as my HK with repeatable results. Profile won't necessarily matter as much so long as the medium profile and heavy profile share similar harmonics and rigidity. I can't flex my HK barrel with my thumb like I can other barrels.
